2006 to 2009
liveARCH, meeting in Scotland, 2007

After many preparations and under the coordination of the Eindhoven Museum, a group of 4 people: Roeland Paardekooper, Geir Sør-Reime (Norwegian advisor for Cultural EU projects), Björn Jakobsen (director of the Swedish Fotevikens Museum) & Bert van Valburg (the then director of the Eindhoven Museum) wrote an EU Culture 2000 Application with which 8 archaeological open-air museums worked closely together and exchanged experiences to get more professional. LiveARCH stems from EXARC.
November 2006 was the start of this three year project, coordinated by Roeland Paardekooper, Archeo Interface and Bert van Valburg, Flexmanagement. These two gentlemen function as project bureau, both facilitating and leading. The 8 partners of liveARCH as this project was called come from 8 different countries, not just with different cultural backgrounds, but different in organisation as well. The project bureau must steer the communication and guarantee that the 8 partners come for real with the promised results. LiveARCH has a total budget of 1.4 million Euro. LiveARCH has come to a successful end in October 2009.
